The presidency has insisted that the president, Bola Tinubu can govern the nation from anywhere.

This statement was given by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Sunday.

He stated that the President doesn’t need to be physically present in Abuja to perform his national duties, adding that Tinubu is strong and healthy.

Onanuga made this statement in response to the criticism about the President’s prolonged vacation after the official three weeks vacation.

Nigerians have questioned the absence of the President, demanding the whereabouts of the President.

Onanuga responded:

“Nigeria’s President is hale and hearty. He has been on a working vacation, which he is perfectly entitled to.

In this digital age, he does not need to be physically present in Abuja to do the work for which he was elected in 2023.

And we have seen that he has indeed been working, meeting investors in France, most recently facilitating a $7 billion deep-sea port in Ogun Waterside, an initiative of the Ogun State Government.”
